Широкое применение карт в различных отраслях народного хозяйства при решении задач научного и прикладного характера, а также в качестве источника информации, хорошего путеводителя и средства обучения позволяет считать создание карт важной государственной задачей. Очень часто использование карт предусматривает проведение по ним различных измерений, в результате которых могут быть получены важные характеристики, необходимые для решения научных и производственных вопросов. Возможность проведения измерений тесно связана с математической основой карты. Предметом изучения математической картографии является математическая основа карт, проектирование которой — один из первых этапов в процессе создания карты. При решении этой задачи используют определенные математические законы, устанавливающие взаимосвязь координат точек картографируемой поверхности и плоскости, т. е. выбирают ту или иную картографическую проекцию и строят соответствующую картографическую сетку (чаще всего меридианов и параллелей), рассматривают вопросы о масштабах, их измерениях, геометрических аспектах определения компоновок карт, их разграфки и номенклатуры.

Multibeam Phased Array Antennas as Satellite Constellation Ground Station

The traditional reflector antennas are powerful but can only produce one beam once at a time. On the contrary, phased array antennas have the natural capability to produce multiple beams simultaneously, thus meeting the requirements for ordinary management and control of future satellite constellation. Compared to the reflector antennas, the architecture of phased array antennas are quite different with thousands of antenna elements, integrated transmit/receive (T/R) modules, decentralized power amplifiers, and agile beamforming networks. Furthermore, phased array antennas have many other advantages over reflector antennas, such as better performance, higher reliability, and lower cost. All of these make it a very attractive candidate as next generation LEO satellite constellation ground station.
