この教材の原形は、 『文化初級日本語Ⅰ、 II』が出版された1987年から1991年まで4年間 にわたって作成されました。 『文化初級日本語Ⅰ、 II』 の各課が終わるたびに新しく作り、 教室で使っては手を加えるという作業を繰り返し、 多くの学習者と教師の手を経て少しず つ形作られてきたものです。 そして、 1991年4月から学内のプロジェクトとして出版にむ けた改訂作業に入りました。 当時、 本校の教員であった鈴木有香さんをはじめ現場の多く の教師の協力を得て、これまでの問題点を見直すと共に、手直しをしたり新しく作り直す などの作業を進めてきました。 まだまだ改訂の余地があると思いますが、広く多くの方々 に使っていただき、 御意見御感想をいただければ幸いです。
